Lari Peterson: Staff Engineer/Producer
Larry Peterson musician, sound engineer, producer... A.K.A. Lari (uh-larry with an eye)
-a nickname garnered from back in the days of yore whilst doing a stint as guitarist with the Boom-Tali posse band.
-Lari arrived in Seattle in 1987 but maintains that he is still part Canadian.
- Played with a couple bands; Buddha's Beef, Mishea, Raised by Wolves...
One reviewer even wrote,"the gyrating pulsations ...a kickass cross dressing funk band...brilliant musical innovations".
-Claims alignment with the statement (The Duke?) that there are two types of music: Good and Bad.
- Has worked as a live sound guy since 1989. House gigs/Club installs include: University Bistro (9 months), University Sports Bar (3 years), O.K. Hotel
(2 years), Weathered Wall (2 years), The Backstage (7 years)...
- Started his Recording pursuits working with local bands on the Spud Goodman show, Channel 22 KTZZ...in addition he helped track some of the Color Box and Crocodile CDs with Crystal Park Mobile Recording. From 1999 to 2002 he earned a chair as engineer at Northern Stars Recording Studios.
-Currently completing his third Freelance project as Engineer/Musician/Producer.
-Lari is delighted to be one of the engineers at Studio V (Vagrant Records).
A veteran of live shows, he brings with him an enormously eclectic musical pallet and an unflappable attitude.
-Won't bother to list the "Starz" that he has had the pleasure to work with over the years- the list is too long, and besides, he'd rather save it for "story time".
-Three traits not be overlooked:
1) Lari is not deaf
2) Adores the making of music!
3) Hates Humor
